Two drivers were fined 15 million VND for changing the date of the Covid-19 rapid test result certificate

(Baonghean.vn) - Two drivers (one in Can Loc district - Ha Tinh and one in Tan Ky district - Nghe An) refused to retest but changed the date of the expired Covid-19 rapid test result certificate to pass the epidemic control checkpoint.

On the morning of September 5, the Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee signed decisions to impose administrative fines in the health sector on two drivers, NDH and LAP, with a total fine of VND15 million for failing to comply with measures to prevent and control infectious diseases as required by competent agencies and organizations.

Previously, at 5:20 a.m. on September 5, 2021, at Covid-19 epidemic control checkpoint No. 9 of Nghi Loc district, the Nghi Loc District Police Working Group inspected and discovered driver NDH (born in 1993), residing in Khanh Vinh Yen commune, Can Loc district, Ha Tinh province, usingCovid-19 rapid test result confirmation paperSeptember 1, 2021 was changed to September 4, 2021 to avoid implementing measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 epidemic.

More than an hour later, at the same checkpoint, the authorities inspected and discovered that driver LAP (born in 1987), residing in Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district, also used a Covid-19 rapid test result confirmation paper to change the date. Specifically, driver P. changed the date August 29, 2021 to September 4, 2021 in the confirmation paper.

Applying Clause 2, Article 14 of Decree No. 117/2020/ND-CP dated September 28, 2020 of the Government on administrative sanctions for violations in the health sector, the Vice Chairman of Nghi Loc District People's Committee decided to fine each of the above drivers 7.5 million VND./.
