On the morning of August 28, a representative of the local government of Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) said that two fishermen residing in the locality were unfortunately killed while fishing at sea.electrocutedleading to death.

According to initial information, at around 1 a.m. on August 28, fishing boat NA - 94192-TS captained by fisherman Nguyen Ba Su, Dai Bac village, Quynh Long commune (Quynh Luu) was fishing with a purse seine at sea.

At this time, two fishermen living in Quynh Long commune, Tran Van Thanh (born 2000) in Thanh Cong village and Tran Van Long (born 1989) in Phu Lien village, went down to the boat to go to the light and fish with the net, but unfortunately they were electrocuted and died.

Immediately after discovering the incident, the ship owner drove the fishing boat to bring the victims’ bodies to the mainland. The fishing boat is expected to return to Lach Quen fishing port in Quynh Thuan commune at around 4 pm this afternoon.

Upon receiving the information, the People's Committee of Quynh Long commune coordinated with the Party Committee and the village executive committee to visit the ship owner's family and the fishermen's families to grasp the situation, encourage and offer condolences.

At the same time, direct the Commune Police to coordinate with relevant agencies to investigate and verify the cause of death of the two fishermen. Direct the villages with deceased fishermen and the officials and civil servants in charge of the villages to guide the families to carry out the burial during the time the locality is implementing Directive 16.
