Two poor female students achieve high scores through self-study

(Baonghean.vn) - Both come from poor families and have never attended extra classes, but two female students from a highland school still achieved high scores in the recent high school exam.

Le Thi Hoa and Tran Thi Nhung from Anh Son 2 High School are two candidates taking the D and C blocks and achieved quite high scores in the recent National High School Exam. Le Thi Hoa scored 26.45 points in the D block exam (Literature: 8.25 points; Math: 8.6 points; English: 9.6 points). Tran Thi Nhung scored 26.25 points in the C block exam (Literature: 7.25 points; Geography: 9.5 points; History: 9.5 points).

Despite achieving such high scores, both Hoa and Nhung come from poor families, with their parents working as farmers. For three consecutive years at high school, both of them were excellent students, active and enthusiastic class officers, highly responsible for collective work, always modest and sociable with their friends.

Tran Thi Nhung, a student of class K29C in hamlet 8, Nam Son commune, Do Luong, was born into a family of four siblings. In grade 11, she won second prize in the provincial excellent student contest in Geography. In addition to studying in class, she has to stay home to help her parents.

Due to difficult family circumstances, I did not register for university entrance exam preparation at school but mainly had to arrange my own schedule to review and study at home. I shared: "To review social subjects to achieve high results, I not only had to memorize and remember knowledge in many ways, but also had to spend a lot of time practicing questions, self-time to do the test, and from there, learn from experience for the next time."

Le Thi Hoa, a student of class K29D in hamlet 4, Nam Son commune, Do Luong, was born into a family of two sisters. Hoa was also a member of the provincial English competition team. Every school year, she was at the top of her class in academic achievement, making her teachers and classmates admire her.

To study well in block D subjects, especially English, I have to search for documents and review them on the internet. "My friends have the conditions and time to study extra, but I have to study at home because I have to spend time helping my parents," Hoa shared.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Bang - Vice Principal of Anh Son 2 High School commented: "Hoa and Nhung are excellent students and enthusiastic class officers. Although they have never registered for extra classes, their academic achievements have always been maintained well over the years."
