Two children motherless after car crash

(Baonghean.vn) - On February 25, the online community is sharing and calling for donations to help the two young children of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung (39 years old), the victim of the tragic accident on National Highway 46.

Before that, around noon on the 5th day of the Lunar New Year 2018 (February 20), Ms. Chung was riding her electric bicycle to the field. While she was on National Highway 46 (through Hung Tien and Xuan Hoa communes, Nam Dan district), she was suddenly hit from behind by a Toyota Vios 37A-182.XX car traveling from Thanh Chuong district to Vinh city. The car continued to crash into a milestone and a tree on the side of the road before flipping over into an irrigation ditch.

The accident left Ms. Chung seriously injured and her electric bike was completely destroyed. Ms. Chung was taken to the hospital for emergency treatment but died shortly after due to her severe injuries.

Chung lost her father and mother at a young age and was raised by her three siblings. Due to difficult circumstances, Chung had to drop out of school while still in middle school. When she grew up, Trinh Duong Nhat (in Tien Tien hamlet, Hung Tien commune) loved Chung and the two became husband and wife and had two children.

Recently, the husband's health has been poor so he has not been able to do much farm work.

Mr. Nguyen Van Ky - Chairman of Hung Tien Commune People's Committee said: Ms. Chung's family situation is very difficult, her two children are still young. At the beginning of the new year, Ms. Chung had to go to the field to work and unfortunately had an accident. The eldest child of Ms. Chung and her husband is only six years old, the youngest is three years old."

Ms. Chung's death left her two children motherless and in more difficulty. The local authorities visited and encouraged her; at the same time, they called for donations to help Ms. Chung's husband and two children overcome their difficulties soon.

The accident is being further investigated and clarified by Nam Dan District Police.
