Couple murdered by intruder at night
Hearing the boy's screams, neighbors ran over and saw his parents dead, their bodies covered in many injuries.
At around 0:30 on August 17, a 16-year-old boy discovered someone had broken into his house in Nam Tien neighborhood, Hong Chau ward (Hung Yen city, Hung Yen province), so he opened the door and ran outside, screaming and calling for help.
When neighbors approached, they found his parents, Dang Van Truong (41 years old) and Nguyen Thi Hoa (40 years old), dead in the bedroom, with multiple stab wounds on their bodies. There were no signs of any disturbance to the furniture or property in the house.

According to a relative of the victim, there were 6 people in Mr. Truong’s house at the time of the murder. Mr. Truong, his wife and two children slept on the first floor. Mr. Truong’s parents slept in a room a few meters away.
"When I ran over, I saw blood all over the house," a neighbor said, guessing that the perpetrator might have jumped over a 2-meter high fence.

At noon on August 17, the police completed their investigation of the crime scene. Dozens of relatives were cleaning the house to prepare for the funeral of the two victims.
