On March 30, Anh Son District Police said they were investigating a food poisoning incident that occurred in Hamlet 5, Cao Son Commune. Authorities have also taken food and water samples to send for testing to clarify the cause.

Earlier, on the morning of March 29, Ms. Tran Thi H. (34 years old), was taken to Cao Son Commune Health Station by her husband, Mr. Tran Quang Tr. (38 years old), in a state of agitation and agitation. At this time, Mr. Tr. was still conscious and said that both husband and wife had drunkpoison ivy.

According to Mr. Tr.'s testimony, at around 7:00 a.m. the same day, his wife drank half a cup of poison ivy water at home. About 30 minutes later, Mr. Tr. brought his children home from school and saw the half-finished cup of water on the table, so he drank it. Mr. Tr. then felt bitter and knew he had drunk poison ivy water, so he took his wife to the commune health station for treatment.

After a few minutes of giving a brief statement to the doctors, Mr. Tr. was no longer conscious. The couple was immediately taken to Anh Son District Medical Center. According to the medical records at Anh Son District Medical Center, the unit received 2 patients in a deep coma, with purple skin, no pulse, no blood pressure, no heart, no ventilation in the lungs... After CPR, the 2 patients are still unconscious and continue to need ventilators.

Mr. Tr. and his wife are farmers and are in difficult circumstances. They have 3 children, the oldest is 10 years old and the youngest is only 2 years old. According to the leaders of Cao Son commune, due to the nature of the leaves growing in abundance on the hills around people's houses, there have been a number of deaths in the area due to the use of leaves./.
