Out of hatred, young man ate poison ivy and committed suicide but was saved by Nghe An Border Guard medics
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to a conflict with his lover, a young man living in Tien Tieu village ate poison ivy and attempted suicide but was saved by the medical staff of the Nam Can International Border Guard Station.
At 6:30 p.m. this afternoon, August 7, the Medical Station of the Nam Can International Border Gate (Nghe An Border Guard) received information that a suicide attempt by using poison ivy had occurred in the area.
The victim was Cu Ba T (born in 1987), residing in Tien Tieu village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district. Due to a conflict with his lover, he ate poison leaves and committed suicide.

Upon receiving the news, Captain Ho Xuan Vuong, a military doctor at the Nam Can International Border Gate Border Post, immediately arrived at the victim's home and administered a remedy using banana plants combined with crushed pennywort juice, injecting to support the heart and infusing fluids. After nearly an hour of intensive first aid, the victim was out of danger, and his pulse and blood pressure were stable.
Previously, using this method, Captain Ho Xuan Vuong saved the lives of two victims who committed suicide by eating poison ivy in Nam Can commune, Ky Son district.
