Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station deploys many measures to support people in responding to storm No. 5

Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station and Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command focused on deploying forces to call on ships and boats in the area to return to safe anchorage and shelter, and take measures to ensure the safety of aquaculture cages when the storm makes landfall.

To support local people in coping with storm No. 5 with strong intensity, which is forecast to make landfall directly in the area, Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station, Nghe An Provincial Border Guard Command focused on deploying forces to call on ships and boats in the area to return to safe anchorage and shelter.

At the same time, deploy measures to ensure the safety of aquaculture cages when storms hit; help people reinforce their houses, prune tree branches at risk of falling; focus on propagating to people in Quynh Mai and Tan Mai wards not to be negligent, subjective, and proactively take measures to respond to storms...

As of the afternoon of August 23, in the area managed by Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station, there were a total of 1,069 vehicles/5,214 workers, of which 988 vehicles, with 4,903 workers, were anchored at safe harbors, while 81 ships, with 331 workers, were operating at sea.

These vehicles do not operate in the danger zone and all have received notice of the storm's location and direction of movement to take preventive measures and move safely.

Major Nguyen Canh Sy - Political Commissar of Quynh Phuong Border Guard Station said: The unit is on standby with 100% of its current personnel and equipment to respond to storm No. 5. Continue to deploy forces to the area to coordinate with local authorities and forces to help people reinforce their houses, guide and arrange for ships and boats to anchor in anchorage areas to ensure safety when the storm makes landfall, and evacuate households on aquaculture cages to shelters to ensure safety. At the same time, strictly implement the order prohibiting vehicles from going to sea at 5:00 a.m. on August 24, 2025./.
