A series of dogs and cats in a commune in Nghe An died unexpectedly, suspected of being 'poisoned'

(Baonghean.vn) - Dozens of dogs and cats belonging to households in Nghi Van commune, Nghi Loc district suddenly died. People also discovered that 6 dogs were missing.

On the morning of February 26, Mr. Tran Khac Ho - Head of Nghi Van Commune Police, Nghi Loc District, said that dozens of dogs and cats belonging to households in Tay Van, Nam Ky La, Bac Ky La, and Nam Bo Son hamlets had just died, suspected of being "poisoned".

Previously, at around 6am on February 25, Nghi Van Commune Police received a report from local residents about the discovery of dozens of dogs and cats suddenly dying. Immediately after receiving the report, the Commune Police went directly to the scene to collect and count the dead dogs and cats and reported the incident to Nghi Loc District Police.

Accordingly, 27 dogs and 3 cats died, suspected of being "poisoned". In addition, residents also discovered that 6 other dogs were also lost.

Currently, the cause of the incident is being actively investigated by Nghi Van Commune Police and Nghi Loc District Police.

It is worth mentioning that, on February 11, people handed over to the Nghi An Commune Police, Vinh City, two brothers Vo Hien Minh (born in 1979) and Vo Hien Bay (born in 1988), both residing in Dong Hamlet, Nghi Khanh Commune, Nghi Loc District. These two subjects spread the bait in front of the residential area in Kim Khanh Hamlet. After waiting for the dogs and cats to eat the bait, they took sacks to collect the "spoils of war" to sell for profit. However, while carrying out the act, they were surrounded and arrested by people.
