Typically, in Nghia Binh commune, over 150 hectares of corn are planted every year, but only over 70% of the people get seeds from the cooperative, the rest are bought floating on the market.
Mr. Nguyen Van Trinh - Head of Tan Ky Plant Protection and Cultivation Station said: In Tan Ky area, for rice and corn varieties alone, we can only meet about 60% of farmers' demand, the rest is mainly bought from outside.

Mr. Nguyen Ba Thuc - Head of the Tan Ky District Agriculture Department shared: The issue of managing plant varieties is still difficult, the district established an interdisciplinary inspection team but only discovered a few cases of expired labels. We recommend that communes get plant varieties from reputable seed suppliers, ensuring quality, with labels and specific addresses.
