Shipping companies loading and unloading goods through Cua Lo port are supported by Nghe An with a maximum of 300 million VND per port call.
(Baonghean.vn) - Nghe An Provincial People's Council has just passed a Resolution regulating policies to support shipping lines transporting international and domestic containers; supporting businesses with export and import goods transported by container to and from Cua Lo port.

On the morning of July 7, the 14th session of the 18th Provincial People's Council reviewed and approved the draft resolutions submitted to the session. Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; comrades of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Executive Committee; delegates of the Provincial People's Council from 21 delegation groups and invited delegates.
Accordingly, international container shipping lines licensed to operate container transportation business according to regulations, unloading or loading or both unloading and loading at Cua Lo port will be supported with 300 million VND/port call.
For domestic container shipping lines (including transit through international ports) licensed to operate container transportation business according to regulations, unloading or loading or both unloading and loading at Cua Lo port (except for temporarily imported and re-exported goods, transit goods) with a minimum frequency of 2 port calls/month (each month is calculated from the first day of the month to the last day of the month) will be supported with 100 million VND/port call.

Nghe An also decided to support businesses with export or import goods transported by container to and from Cua Lo port, Nghe An province. Accordingly, 20-foot containers are supported with 600,000 VND/container; 40-foot containers are supported with 1 million VND/container.
Shipping lines and enterprises in the above cases shall submit their applications directly or via postal service to the Nghe An Provincial Public Administration Service Center or online at the Nghe An Provincial Administrative Procedure Information System. Within 7 working days from the date of receipt of complete applications, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board shall consult with relevant agencies and decide to pay support funds to shipping lines and enterprises. In case of ineligibility for support, the Southeast Economic Zone Management Board shall notify the shipping lines and enterprises in writing and state the reasons.
The Resolution takes effect from January 1, 2024 to December 31, 2025.
