Provincial People's Council gives opinions on land recovery policy for 468 projects

Regarding the draft resolution approving the list of works and projects that need to beland acquisitionAccording to the provisions of Clause 3, Article 62 of the Land Law, the Provincial People's Committee submitted 468 projects and works requiring land recovery; the total area to be recovered is more than 1,223 hectares.
Of these, Vinh city has the most with 76 projects; Yen Thanh district has 48 projects; Hoang Mai town has 46 projects; Quynh Luu district has 30 projects; Nghi Loc district has 29 projects; Cua Lo town has 26 projects; Dien Chau district has 22 projects...

Reviewing this draft resolution, basically agreeing with the draft submitted by the Provincial People's Committee, some members also raised some concerns related to the low results of implementing works and projects requiring land recovery according to previously issued resolutions of the Provincial People's Council; only reaching 39.53% of the total number of works and projects and reaching 30.67% of the total area to be recovered.
Therefore, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Committee have solutions to increase the implementation rate of works and projects subject to land recovery and land use conversion.
In addition, the meeting members also set out the responsibility to review and work with investors of projects that have not been implemented for more than 3 years to urge them to avoid not being implemented for the next 3 years and continue to submit.

The Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council also reviewed and agreed on the draft resolution on converting the purpose of using rice-growing land, protective forest land, and special-use forest land according to the provisions of Clause 1, Article 58 of the Land Law to implement works and investment projects in the province.
Accordingly, the area of converted land use purposes includes more than 361 hectares of rice land and more than 21 hectares of protective forest land to carry out 301 works and projects in the province.

Also this afternoon, the Economic - Budget Committee of the Provincial People's Council also reviewed the report on the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction in the province in 2020; reviewed the draft resolution on a number of support policies in new rural construction in the province, period 2021 - 2025 and the draft resolution on support policies for the implementation of the "One Commune One Product" Program (OCOP), period 2021 - 2025.
