Women and Law Club
The "Women with the Law" Club model in Thuy Son village (Thanh Thuy commune, Thanh Chuong district) was established in early 2022 with 332 members. Every month, officers of the Border Guard Station and the Club's Management Board agree on appropriate activity topics, focusing on contents related to Border Regulations, Vietnam Border Law, National Border Law, Law on Prevention and Control of Domestic Violence, Law on Drug Prevention and Control, Law on Grassroots Mediation, etc. Thereby, contributing to raising awareness and understanding of the law; at the same time, promoting the spirit of solidarity, the active role of women in propaganda work, grasping public opinion, thoughts and feelings, encouraging women to overcome difficulties, and strive to improve their lives.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Chung - Head of the "Women with the Law" Club in Thuy Son village said: "Not only do we propagate the law, but at each club meeting, members also bring cans and plastic bottles to sell to raise funds to support poor women in difficult circumstances. A typical example is Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh in Thuy Son village, a poor household with heart disease, who was supported by the Club with a flock of 50 poultry to have initial capital to develop production.
Talking about the birth of the Women with Law Club model, Major Hoang Ngoc Binh - Deputy Political Commissar (Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station) said: Through surveying the actual situation in the area, in order to diversify the forms of propaganda and legal advice to female members, creating a rich and healthy living environment, bringing practical results. The Station has consulted and coordinated with the Thanh Thuy Commune Women's Union to establish the "Women with Law" Club. Initially, Thuy Son village was selected to build a pilot model. Accordingly, every month, the Station sends cadres to the area to coordinate with the Thanh Thuy Commune Women's Union to organize training for members so that they can become active propagandists in their own families and villages. From there, it contributes to building awareness of living and working according to the Constitution and the law of the people, serving well the task of economic and social development in the locality.

Ms. Hoang Thi Hien - President of the Thanh Thuy Commune Women's Union said: "With the attention and support of the Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station, from the pilot model in Thuy Son village, up to now, the area has expanded 05 "Women's Clubs with the Law" operating in a disciplined and effective manner. Through the model of "Women's Club with the Law", from the beginning of 2022 to now, the Border Guard Station has coordinated with local Party committees, authorities, and the Thanh Thuy Commune Women's Union to organize 72 concentrated propaganda sessions for over 5,300 listeners, small-scale propaganda for over 480 people, combined with distributing nearly 7,000 leaflets and brochures to local people.
From the success of the model, Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station has coordinated with functional forces and the Thanh Thuy Commune Women's Union to establish many other models such as the "Domestic Violence Prevention and Control" Club and the "Rehabilitating and Reintegrating Wrongdoers into the Community" Club. These are models that bring practical significance in raising legal awareness among the people and ensuring the safety of women and children. The models also become a bridge between the government and the people, helping members and their relatives to raise awareness, not violate the law, and build harmonious and exemplary families.
Vivid"Border Lesson"
Not only the model "Women's Club with the Law" was effectively implemented, but the model "Border Classes" organized by Thanh Thuy Border Guard Station in coordination with local schools also created a strong influence.

Captain Tran Van Quyet - Head of the Mass Mobilization Team said: "Border area lessons" are organized quarterly by the unit, rotating between classes and levels. The goal of the model is not only to provide legal knowledge about decrees, regulations, and provisions of the law on national borders, border systems, and landmarks; how to identify restricted areas; border belts and other legal provisions, but after participating in the class, we hope that the children will become active propagandists in their families and communities, building a sense of self-awareness to join hands with the Border Guard to protect the territorial sovereignty and border security of the Fatherland.
To make the lessons effective, in addition to choosing content to build lesson plans suitable for age and grade, in each lesson, the green-uniformed teachers also use PowerPoint presentation software; integrate multiple-choice games, quizzes with prizes, distribute pictures, leaflets related to preventing school violence, preventing drowning, preventing drugs, human trafficking... From there, making the lessons softer, helping students remember and understand easily, creating a friendly and close classroom atmosphere between teachers and students.

In addition to direct lessons in class and at school, students also participate in extracurricular activities such as field trips to border lines and landmarks, and learn about the lives and work of Border Guard officers and soldiers. Phan Vo Khanh Van, a 9th grader at Thanh Thuy Secondary School, said: After attending extracurricular lessons with Border Guard officers, our young generation understands more clearly about the sacred territorial sovereignty of the Fatherland, as well as the responsibility of young people in protecting the border lines, landmarks, and national border security.

Teacher Nguyen Van Tien - Principal of Thanh Thuy Secondary School added: "Including border area lessons into extracurricular programs at general schools is necessary and meaningful, not only fostering love for the homeland and country but also helping students gain more knowledge about territorial sovereignty and national border security. When returning home, they will be active propagandists for their families and communities, thereby helping people to be more proactive in complying with the law and regulations in border management and protection."
Talking to us, the leader of Thanh Thuy commune also emphasized that: The models of law dissemination and propaganda that the Border Guard Station and local authorities, organizations and schools in the area have coordinated to deploy have helped the masses and students in the border area raise their awareness of the law and the sense of preserving and protecting border security and sovereignty. From there, they actively participate in the fight against crime, promote the movement of All People Protecting National Security, and build a strong "people's hearts" in the border area.
