Coach Cristiano Roland: "U17 Vietnam will play their best to get the best results"

The 2025 AFC U17 Championship qualifiers will take place from October 23-27 at Viet Tri Stadium (Phu Tho Province). Today, a press conference was held with the participation of 4 coaches of the teams: U17 Yemen, U17 Kyrgyzstan, U17 Myanmar and host U17 Vietnam.

Opening the press conference, coach of the Vietnam U17 team - Mr. Cristiano Roland shared: "We have prepared with 2 training sessions in China and Japan, with the support of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF), we have the opportunity to prepare best for this tournament. This is not an easy group, the challenges are very difficult but the Vietnam U17 team will compete with all their might.

In Japan, the team trained and prepared the best. I also hope to receive the support of fans for the upcoming matches."

Meanwhile, Myanmar U17 assistant coach - Mr. Aung Zaw Myo highly appreciated the Vietnam U17 team:
''We have training sessions in Qatar, hoping to have good results for this tournament. I know the Vietnam U17 team has training sessions abroad and has good preparation for the tournament. I was impressed with their 1-0 win over Japan at the Peace Cup, I appreciate Vietnam U17 and have great respect for them''.

Mr. Igor Nikitin - coach of the U17 Kyrgyzstan team, hopes that his students will play well in this tournament to serve as a springboard for the future. "Thank you VFF and Phu Tho province for the warm welcome. Before the tournament, we had 2 training sessions in Thailand and Vietnam to adapt to the climate and weather conditions. We will have the best concentration for this tournament.

Football in Kyrgyzstan is very developed, so the players have the opportunity to watch the national team compete. With each victory of the team, it is the motivation for young players to strive, make efforts in the future and set the goal of playing for the national team. Hopefully U17 Kyrgyzstan will play well in this tournament as a springboard for the future.

The Vietnam team is the host team, with a big advantage not only in terms of field conditions and audience, but Kyrgyzstan respects all opponents in this group, we will be determined to get the best results.

Yemen U17 coach Samer Mohammed Fadhi Saleh aims to qualify for the finals. ''We hope to have a good performance in this tournament. Yemen will try our best to qualify for the finals for the first time. We have prepared tactically and mentally to overcome the tournament. We respect all opponents in this group. All four teams are of equal level and have very small differences. The results will be shown on the field. I wish all four teams good luck in the upcoming matches.''

The host team Vietnam will have their opening match against U17 Kyrgyzstan at 7pm on October 23; U17 Myanmar at 7pm on October 25 and U17 Yemen in the final match at 7pm on October 27./.
