Coach of Indonesia U22 team: 'Thailand and Vietnam are stronger'
Spanish coach Luis Milla believes that U22 Indonesia will face difficulties in the race to reach the semi-finals of the 29th SEA Games.
"I did not attend the draw ceremony, I was only informed of the results," coach Luis Milla shared. "In group B, Thailand and Vietnam are the two teams with higher qualifications."
In the draw ceremony held on the morning of July 8, U22 Indonesia fell into group B with reigning gold medalist Thailand, SEA Games 28 bronze medalist Vietnam, Philippines, Timor Leste and Cambodia.
"At this time, we are not thinking much about the SEA Games. U22 Indonesia is stationed in Bali, focusing on preparing for the upcoming U23 Asian qualifiers," coach Luis Milla added.

The Indonesian Football Federation has high expectations for coach Luis Milla. |
Luis Milla is a famous Spanish footballer who played for three big teams in La Liga, including Real Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia. When he switched to coaching, he led the U19, U20, U21 and U23 Spain. This coach, who won the U21 European Championship in 2011, moved to Indonesia to work in January this year.
"Group B is obviously more difficult than Group A, because there are six teams and more matches. But we are ready for the difficult challenge at the SEA Games. No matter who the opponent is, the most important thing is how to prepare the home team. We will let the U22 team train well and at the same time study the opponents in detail," added the leader of the U22 Indonesia team, Endri Erawan.
At the 28th SEA Games, Indonesia returned home empty-handed after losing 0-5 to Vietnam in the bronze medal match.
