Number 4 has been associated with the football career of coach Nguyen Huu Thang.

It is not too much to say that Huu Thang's life and career can be written into a book. Many people and many articles have been written about him, but it seems that it is never enough compared to what he has contributed to SLNA and to Vietnamese football.

With his steely determination and experience, learning from his playing career as well as his time as a club coach, Coach Huu Thang has made skeptics seek "revisionism" when he built a beautiful tiki-taka style of play to help the Vietnamese team win convincingly against the Taiwanese team.

The concept of “all beginnings are hard” is obviously not suitable for the new captain. Although he knows that no road is smooth, the path he has taken is not all roses. For me, that love was “shaped” from the time I was herding buffaloes and cutting grass, nearly 20 years ago. Back then, in addition to saving the small change my mother gave me and the 10-point bonus from my father, before the SLNA matches, I “worked 2 or 3 times harder” than usual (cutting 2 bags of grass, finding 2 bundles of firewood) to “compensate” for the next day when I followed my father over 80 km from Anh Son to Vinh to… cheer for Huu Thang. His classy blocks and tackles have entered my mind and become beautiful memories that will never fade. That is why every dream about my childhood is always filled with his image.

I finally got to meet him one day in mid-2014. I did not hesitate to confess: “You are my idol!”, he looked at me and smiled, followed by a look of trust as he shared with me his thoughts, feelings and views on work and life. But perhaps the most impressive thing to me was the saying: “The more famous you are, the more you have to get close to people, the more you have to try to show everyone that you deserve that fame”.

And with what he has done and is doing, he has shown you, me, and all of us that he is truly a famous person regardless of his position. Nghe An fans were heartbroken by his failures and cried with him when he brought SLNA to the championship. I still believe that, in the Vietnamese football world, only his actions have the power to spread and make so many people live according to their emotions.

The fans' desire at this time is the playing style and titles of the Vietnam national team. Coach Huu Thang understands that better than anyone. The playing style has been answered by the tiki - taka philosophy and now the fans are waiting for the Vietnam national team to "change the color" of the medals. More than ever, the fans are placing their full faith and hope in the bright future of Vietnamese football under the "reign" of Huu Thang when the second chapter of the novel "legendary song" is being determinedly completed by the "author".
