After 10 days of training and competing with K.League clubs (Korea), preparing for the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship (ASEAN Cup 2024), head coach Kim Sang-sik expressed satisfaction with the progress of his players.
During the training period in Korea, in addition to strengthening the players' physical strength, coach Kim Sang-sik and his colleagues focused on training their technical and tactical skills. At the same time, through 3 practice matches with Ulsan Citizen (won 2-0), Daegu FC (won 2-0) and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors (won 3-1), the Korean coach gradually created stability in terms of personnel and playing style for the Vietnamese team.

“I see that the players’ skills are getting better and better, and the team’s tactics and techniques have also improved a lot. The Vietnamese players have a very strong passion for football as well as strong will and motivation. I am satisfied with that,” said coach Kim Sang-sik.
The training session in Korea is also an important preparation stage for the Vietnamese team before the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship. Therefore, along with the goal of improving the team's expertise, coach Kim Sang-sik also pays great attention to solutions to enhance solidarity and connection between players.

“Synergy” is the message that the Korean coach often mentions to his players on the training ground and in team activities. He hopes to maximize the collective strength of the Vietnamese team in the upcoming competition at the 2024 Southeast Asian Championship.
Coach Kim Sang-sik emphasized: “The team’s goal is to reach the final of the tournament. That is the expectation of all Vietnamese fans, the whole team and myself. To do that, we need to try our best starting from the opening match against Laos and try to win every match.”

Coach Kim Sang-sik added: “My players and I understand the love of football of the Vietnamese people. We will make sure to meet everyone’s expectations with good results at the upcoming ASEAN Cup. We need everyone’s support.”
According to plan, tomorrow (December 3), coach Kim Sang-sik and his team will return home to complete the final pieces for the 2024 ASEAN Cup campaign.
Before leaving for Laos to play the opening match in Group B, the Vietnamese team will have additional resources from the group of players from Nam Dinh Club. Thanh Nam team will complete the group stage of AFC Champions League Two 2024/25 on December 4.
According to the regulations of the Charter, the team participating in the ASEAN Cup 2024 will consist of a maximum of 26 players./.
