Speaking before the "life-or-death" match with Korea, Vietnam women's team coach Mai Duc Chung affirmed that the team's goal is to do their best to win.

"The Vietnamese team has played and lost both matches, and there is one more match against Korea. To ensure the tournament is successful, we will try our best to compete in this final match," said Mr. Mai Duc Chung.
"We are in a very strong group with Korea, Australia and Japan. Although we have a weaker squad, we will try to take each match one by one and not give up in this final match."
"Korea is a very strong team and we rate them highly in this group. We have lost two matches already, and in the last match we will try our best, we will try our best to make the tournament successful. Through this we will learn and gain experience to prepare for the upcoming AFF Cup."
