Coach Philippe Troussier adds U19 SLNA center-back ahead of 2020 Asian Qualifiers
(Baonghean.vn) - This morning (September 20), U19 Vietnam had the last training session in phase 1 of the preparation plan for the 2020 U19 Asian Qualifiers. Based on the performance of the players since September 12, coach Philippe Troussier has finalized the first round list.
Accordingly, based on the training results of phase 1, head coach Philippe Troussier conducted the first screening step for the U19 Vietnam squad. There were 5 players who had to say goodbye after phase 1 including: Nguyen Nhi Khang (HAGL), Vuong Van Huy (SLNA), Kha Tan Tai (Dong Thap), Nguyen Ba Duong (Viettel) and Nguyen Ngoc Tu (Viettel).
In addition, some other players were sent back to the club to compete in the U21 National qualifying round such as Vu Tien Long, Quan Van Chuan, Vo Minh Trong, Pham Xuan Tao, Pham Van Huu, Nguyen Van Tung. These players can be called back after completing their duties at the club.

In order to ensure competitiveness in the second training phase, the French strategist decided to call up 6 additional players including goalkeeper Le Trung Tuan (Thanh Hoa), defender Le Van Thanh (SLNA), midfielder Huynh Cong Den (PVF/Pho Hien), Tong Ngoc Anh (Thanh Hoa), striker Bui Anh Thong (People's Police), Tran Quoc Dat (Thanh Hoa).
According to the plan, the second training phase will start from September 23 to October 2 at the PVF Center. The coaching staff will focus on improving physical fitness, combining technical and tactical training, and developing the players' competitive mentality. During this phase, the team is expected to have 2 practice matches to test the squad and playing style.
