(Baonghean.vn) - On May 25, Yen Thanh district organized a children's forum and launched the month of action for children in 2017.
Yen Thanh district has over 74,700 children under 16 years old, accounting for 27.65% of the district's population, of which over 5,300 children are in especially difficult circumstances.
With the theme "Implementing the law on children and preventing violence and child abuse", this year's action month for children in Yen Thanh district has integrated the organization of a "Children's Forum".
The forum is an opportunity for children to openly discuss and share about 5 groups of issues: School violence, domestic violence, child abuse; practical issues, life skills education, team activities in residential areas. Through this forum, the children hope to create many practical and useful playgrounds and forums.

On this occasion, leaders of the provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs and the provincial Children's Fund supported Yen Thanh district to build 3 libraries for 3 schools, worth 210 million VND, and directly supported 10 million VND to give gifts to children. At the launching ceremony, businesses and philanthropists presented 120 gifts to poor students who have overcome difficulties in the area.
