Miss Vietnam 2016: There will be an additional Beauty with a Heart award

According to the Organizing Committee, the Miss Vietnam 2016 contest will have many new contest contents and awards, including the Miss Charity award.

On March 15, the Organizing Committee of Miss Vietnam (HHVN) 2016 held a press conference to introduce the contest.

The Organizing Committee representative said that after 14 years, the Miss Vietnam Final Round returns to Ho Chi Minh City. This year's contest will be enhanced with many new contest contents and awards, to enhance the social and humanistic significance of the contest, and to connect more closely with the community.

The contest has the same prize structure as the annual competition including: Main prizes: Miss Vietnam, 1st Runner-up, 2nd Runner-up and secondary prizes: Talented Beauty, Sea Beauty, Most Beautiful Face, Ao Dai Beauty, Most Beautiful Skin, Most Beautiful Evening Gown, Most Beautiful Hair and a new prize: Miss Charity Award.

About 40 contestants will enter the Final Round, each contestant will take on a charity project and be responsible for presenting the project's significance and directly implementing the project. These activities will be recorded and broadcast on many prestigious TV channels for the public to monitor and record.

The prizes of the contest include: The beauty queen will be crowned, with a cash prize of 500 million VND, the first runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of 300 million VND, the second runner-up will be awarded a cash prize of 200 million VND, and the secondary prizes: 50 million VND/prize. In particular, the Organizing Committee will donate 500 million VND to the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund of the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union.

The preliminary and final rounds in the South are scheduled for the first half of July, the preliminary and final rounds in the North are scheduled for mid-July, the Miss Vietnam 2016 Final Night is scheduled to be held on Saturday evening, August 27, 2016 in Ho Chi Minh City and will be broadcast live on Vietnam Television.
