Tet gift giving activities for the poor in localities
(Baonghean.vn) - On January 21, many localities, organizations, and units visited and presented Tet gifts to the poor on the occasion of the Spring of Canh Ty 2020 in localities across the province.
*Comrade Le Duc Cuong - Member of the Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committeevisited and gave Tet gifts to poor households in Quynh Tho commune (Quynh Luu).

In Quynh Tho commune, comrade Le Duc Cuong presented 21 gifts to 21 poor households in the area, each gift worth 1 million VND.
On this occasion, Quynh Tho commune also gave each household a gift worth 500,000 VND; the total gift each poor household received was 1.5 million VND.
In addition, comrade Le Duc Cuong also presented to the People's Committee of Quynh Tho commune 2 sets of computers worth 20 million VND sponsored by a business and presented a gift worth 2 million VND to Mr. Nguyen Minh Phuong's family in Tho Dong village, Quynh Tho commune, a victim of Agent Orange.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2020, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee Le Duc Cuong wished poor households and policy families a peaceful and warm Spring and New Year.

The delegation visited and presented gifts to two war invalids, Mr. Ho Giap Thien, village 13, Son Hai commune and Trinh Minh Chien, Nghia Bac village, Quynh Nghia commune, two martyrs' wives, Mrs. Bui Thi Thang, in Minh Thanh village, Quynh Long commune, Mrs. Bui Thi Dieu, in Dong Van hamlet, Quynh Bang commune and Mr. Nguyen Trong Thuat, war invalid 1/4, hamlet 3, Quynh Dien commune.
Each family received a gift worth 5.5 million VND, including 5 million VND in cash and a blanket. Quynh Luu district leaders kindly asked about the health of the families, wished them a happy and warm new year, and made efforts to overcome difficulties and improve their lives.
On this occasion, comrade Ho Ngoc Dung - Member of the Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the District People's Committee also presented 5 gifts to poor households in Son Hai commune, each worth 700,000 VND.

*Fatherland Front of Quy Hop districtawarded 430 million VND to support the construction of solidarity houses for 9 extremely disadvantaged families in the communes of Chau Thai, Chau Hong, Chau Tien, Lien Hop, Yen Hop, Chau Dinh, Van Loi and Minh Hop.
Of the 9 solidarity houses awarded this time, there are 2 houses supported by the provincial Fatherland Front Committee with 80 million VND in Minh Hop and Chau Hong communes. The families receiving support to build houses this time are all poor families, in extremely difficult circumstances, unable to afford to build houses and living in temporary, dilapidated houses.

The district Fatherland Front supports the cost of treating serious illnesses for 11 extremely poor households in the communes of Chau Thai, Chau Hong, Chau Tien, Lien Hop, Yen Hop, Chau Dinh, Van Loi and Minh Hop.
Also during this time, the district Fatherland Front supported 10 million VND for medical examination and treatment of serious illnesses for Mr. Vi Van Phu's household (Chau Thai) and Mr. Le Thanh Chuong's household (Chau Hong).

*TH Group haspresented 100 gifts worth 400 thousand VND each and 1 carton of milk, TH Labor Union presented 10 gifts worth 500 thousand VND each to poor households and families in difficult circumstances in Nghia Lam commune.
