(Baonghean.vn) - On January 8, local organizations organized gift giving and support for building charity houses for poor students and disadvantaged families.

*Association of War Veterans of Nghia Dan districtCoordinated with the Fatherland Front Committee of Nghia Duc commune to organize the donation of money to build a house of solidarity for the family of Mr. Lo Van Thon, a member of the Veterans Association in hamlet 4, Nghia Duc commune.

Mr. Lo Van Thon's family is poor. He himself is often sick and ill; he has no means to repair his house. In order to share the difficulties with his family, the War Veterans Association of Nghia Dan district supported 15 million VND, the Party Committee, government and people of Nghia Hieu commune supported 10 million VND to help his family solidify the house, ensuring safety when the rainy season comes.

* Nghia Dan District Red Cross SocietyIn coordination with Thien Tam Charity Fund, we awarded 7 scholarships, worth 500,000 VND per month, to disadvantaged students with good academic performance at Nghia Dan Town Secondary School; Nghia Trung and Nghia Loc Primary Schools.

This is a practical charity activity, with the meaning of timely encouragement and motivation to help students in difficult circumstances to excel in their studies.

* Previously, on the afternoon of January 7,Van Thanh Parish UnionGiving gifts to support the family of Mr. Tran Van Trung (born in 1971) in Da Bia hamlet, Thanh Mai commune (Thanh Chuong).

Trung's family is extremely poor. In 2012, Soa was diagnosed with breast cancer and stage 4 heart failure. To pay for his wife's treatment, Trung had to work for hire everywhere and sell everything of value in the house, but her condition did not improve. Currently, Soa's illness has metastasized to her bones, and the family's finances are increasingly depleted.

Sympathizing with the family's situation, representatives of the Parish Pastoral Council, the Parish, and representatives of the youth committee of Van Thanh Parish visited and presented gifts worth more than 12 million VND donated by the generous hearts of the parish community to support the family in times of hardship and difficulty.

*TH Milk Food Joint Stock Company Trade Union (Nghia Dan) visited and supported the family of Mr. Nguyen Hai Hung (in Dong Lam hamlet, Nghia Lam), a machine operator at Dairy Farm No. 3.

Mr. Nguyen Hai Hung unfortunately had a traffic accident on his way to work and was seriously injured and required long-term treatment.

His family mainly produces agriculture, Mr. Hung is the main laborer in the family. Sharing the difficulties with the difficult circumstances of his colleagues, the company's officers and employees donated 22 million VND to support his family.

*Youth Union members of Military Hospital 4, Logistics Department, Military Region 4 and Youth Union of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Office jointly organized the program "Warm bowl of porridge" at Military Hospital 4.

Accordingly, more than 300 bowls of porridge were delivered to patients and their families who were being treated and examined at the hospital; contributing to encouraging the patients to overcome difficulties and illnesses.

* Afternoon of January 8,in Que Phong,Tam Thien Nguyen Club (Cua Lo) cooperated with Hanh Dich Border Guard Station to give gifts to students and people in poor villages in Hanh Dich commune.

On this occasion, the delegation presented 123 warm clothes, blankets, notebooks to students and necessities to poor households in the commune.

These gifts were supported by members of the Tam Thien Nguyen Club and donated by benefactors, to share difficulties with people and students in border areas.
