Speaking to Nghe An Newspaper this morning, May 12, Mr. Nguyen Trong Hoan - Chief of Office of the Department of Education and Training said: Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 epidemic across the country, the Department of Education and Training decided to have a plan to direct schools and affiliated units to adjust teaching plans.

Specifically, the school directs professional teams/groups based on Official Dispatch No. 3280/BGDĐT - GD TrH dated August 27, 2020 of the Ministry of Education and Training to proactively and flexibly adjust the education plan for subjects and organize to complete implementation before May 17, 2021 and end the school year before May 24.

Also according to the Department's direction, to ensure the program of some teaching contents at the end of the school year such as practice, training, review (chapter review, semester 2 review, year-end review...) to build into learning tasks and guide students to do it themselves.

In addition, it is necessary to develop a suitable teaching schedule to ensure that the adjusted subject plan is completed while not creating pressure on teachers and students and ensuring Covid-19 prevention.

Thus, with this decision, Nghe An students will have a week off from school compared to the school year plan and the school year will also end more than a week earlier than expected.

In the immediate future, to ensure review for the 10th grade entrance exam for the 2021-2022 school year and the 2021 high school graduation exam, the Department will have specific instructions for schools.

Regarding the year-end summary, units strictly implement the assessment and classification of students according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training. Heads of units develop content and assign homeroom teachers to use the last period of the school year to organize a summary in the classroom, not gather the whole school to summarize the school year. In addition, thoroughly understand the requirements for students in epidemic prevention, ensuring safety during summer break. At the same time, organize the handover of students before summer break, and activities in the locality.

Schools need to have appropriate forms to notify parents and students of the 2020-2021 school year's learning and training results in accordance with regulations.

The Department also strictly prohibits the organization of extra teaching and learning inside and outside of schools after the end of the 2020-2021 school year program.
