(Baonghean.vn) - That is Phan Nhat Duat, a 12th grader at A4 at Phan Boi Chau High School for the Gifted. Duat is also the only student from the school to be selected for the Vietnamese team to participate in the International Olympic competitions this year.

Participating in the National Team selection exam for the 2018 International Olympic Competition are 193 students selected from the National Excellent Student exam held in January 2018.

In this competition, Nghe An delegation has 9 students participating in the subjects of Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Informatics and Biology. Phan Nhat Duat is a student selected to the national team to participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad.

Previously, at the National Excellent Student Competition, Phan Nhat Duat won first prize in Chemistry and, along with 33 other students nationwide, was selected to compete in the National Team Selection Competition for the International Chemistry Olympiad. The competition is expected to be held in July this year in the Czech Republic.

Thus, compared to previous years, this year the number of Nghe An students participating in the International Olympic competitions is lower. However, this is the first year Nghe An has had contestants participating in the International Science and Technology Competition in the US.
