Nghe An Youth Volunteer Veterans Association received the Excellent Emulation Flag

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 13, the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers held a review of the Association's work in 2016 and deployed tasks for 2017.

The Provincial Youth Volunteers Association received the 2016 excellent emulation flag from the Central Committee of the Vietnam Veterans Association.

In 2016, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers at all levels in Nghe An made great efforts and achieved many outstanding achievements in the work of building and developing the association. The whole province currently has over 21,500 former Youth Volunteers members.

Despite their advanced age, the cadres and members are still actively participating in economic development, solidarity activities, setting good examples, educating the young generation on ideals, ethics, and revolutionary heroism; joining hands to build new rural areas, the association at all levels has contributed 8,435 working days and donated nearly 113,000m² land and over 972 million dong.

In 2017, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Nghe An province continued to promote emulation movements and comradeship activities.

Up to now, the Association at all levels has built a Comradeship Fund of over 12 billion VND. Thereby, in 2016, they contributed labor and money to repair 70 dilapidated houses for members in difficult circumstances. Striving for economic development, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers has built 490 economic development models, many of which are of high value.

In 2017, all levels of the Nghe An Veterans Association will focus on successfully implementing the term congresses at the ward, commune, town, district, city and town levels; advising well on resolving policies and regimes for former Youth Volunteers; actively directing and participating in emulation movements and comradeship activities.

On this occasion, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers and the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Hoang Mai town were honored to receive the Flag of Excellent Emulation Unit in 2016 from the Central Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Vietnam and 15 collectives and individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit from the Central Association./.
