Nghe An Veterans Association Congress of Delegates for the 2021 - 2026 term
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of January 21, the Association of Former Youth Volunteers of Nghe An province held the 4th Congress of Delegates, term 2021 - 2026.
Attending were comrade Vu Trong Kim - Chairman of the Vietnam Veterans Association and leaders of the Association.
On the side of Nghe An province, there was comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; representative leadersProvincial Fatherland Front Committee, Provincial Youth Union and provincial departments, branches, sectors and units with nearly 140 delegates from districts, cities and towns in the province.

The Nghe An Veterans Association currently has nearly 19,300 cadres and members, of which more than 1,200 members were from the period of fighting against the French, nearly 1,650 members were from the period of restoring the country after the war, building socialism in the North (1955-1964) and more than 16,400 members were from the period ofanti-AmericanUp to now, the whole province has 20/21 district-level Associations, 394 commune-level Associations and 1,488 village-level Associations.
During the past term, the work of building the Association's organization achieved many important results, promoting the spirit of solidarity and unity, promptly bringing the Party's policies and the State's laws to the people. Thanks to that, the movement activities were constantly promoted, especially the movement to build the Comradeship Fund and activities for Comradeship.

Fund Building MovementComradeshipreally effective and meaningful, contributing to socio-economic development, hunger eradication and poverty reduction. Districts, cities and towns have had nearly 1,270 members supported with loans for production and economic model development, helping 216/435 member households escape poverty.
The movement “For the solidarity of comrades” has become a regular activity of all levels of the Association, actively coordinating with organizations and individuals to mobilize and build 305 solidarity houses, repair 130 damaged and dilapidated houses, and give 820 savings books to members in especially difficult circumstances...
In the 2021-2026 term, the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers identified the key task as continuing to innovate the content of activities, coordinating with functional agencies to advise on the implementation of mechanisms and policies related toMemberImprove the quality of the Association's activities and management, promote the propaganda of revolutionary traditions, promote the role of historical witnesses; improve the effectiveness of movements to develop the economy, and help members in difficult circumstances.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Vu Trong Kim - Chairman of the Vietnam Association of Former Youth Volunteers acknowledged the achievements of the Nghe An Association of Former Youth Volunteers in the past term. At the same time, he requested that the former Youth Volunteers of Nghe An continue to promote tradition, set an example in implementing policies and guidelines, and promote movements and activities, worthy of the glorious tradition of the Youth Volunteers and the tradition of President Ho Chi Minh's homeland.

At the Congress, delegates unanimously elected 21 people to the Executive Committee of the Provincial Veterans Association for the 4th term (2021 - 2026); the Executive Committee unanimously elected Mr. Chu Vinh Hiep to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Veterans Association and Mr. Tran Van Mao to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the Association.
On this occasion, the Nghe An Provincial Youth Volunteer Veterans Association was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal; the Provincial People's Committee presented the Congress with a banner with the words "Nghe An Provincial Youth Volunteer Veterans: Solidarity - Consensus - Exemplary Building of a Strong Nghe An Provincial Youth Volunteer Veterans Association".
At the Congress, 01 individual received a Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister; 11 collectives and 25 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Central Association of Former Youth Volunteers; 05 collectives and 04 individuals received Certificates of Merit from the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee; 27 collectives and 20 individuals were awarded Certificates of Merit by the Executive Committee of the Provincial Association of Former Youth Volunteers./.
