1. Regulations on structure and quality of mobile ladders:

a) Mobile ladders are ladders made of bamboo, wood, iron... Materials used to make bamboo and wood ladders must be sturdy and dry;

b) The width of the foot of the ladder is at least 50 cm;

c) The distance between steps is even and not greater than 45 cm;

d) The steps must not be nailed, the first and last steps must have pins;

e) Bamboo ladders must be tied with steel wire, twisted securely at both ends and in the middle of the ladder;

f) When connecting the ladder, use iron straps and bolts, or use wooden or hard bamboo braces to cover both ends of the connection at least 1.0 m long and use steel wire to twist tightly, ensuring no shaking or shifting;

g) The ladder must be in use and not be damaged by termites, warped or bent when working on it;

h) Ladders must be regularly inspected. If they are found to be unsafe, they must be repaired immediately or removed.

2. Regulations on working with mobile ladders:

a) In places where scaffolding is not available, working on mobile ladders is allowed;

b) The length of the ladder must be suitable for the working height;

c) There must be someone holding the foot of the ladder. On smooth marble, cement, or brick floors, the foot of the ladder must be lined with rubber or wet sacks to prevent slipping. On the ground, a depression must be made under the foot of the ladder;

d) When working on a ladder, you must be at least 1.0 m from the top of the ladder and must stand on the upper step below;

c) Under normal conditions, the ladder must be erected with a vertical plane so that the distance from the foot of the ladder to the vertical plane on which the ladder is erected is 1/4 of the length of the ladder. For mobile ladders, do not wear a safety belt on the ladder;

d) When setting up a ladder on long beams or round pipes, use a rope to tie the top of the ladder to that object;

e) It is forbidden to carry objects that are too heavy on the ladder, climb the ladder with two people at the same time, and stand on the ladder to move from one position to another.
