Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City unites, shares, is responsible, and looks towards the homeland
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 21, the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City held the 2023 Annual Delegates Conference to review past activities and agree on directions for activities in the second half of 2023 and the first half of 2024.

On behalf of the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City, there were comrade Nguyen Ky Cam - former member of the Party Central Committee, former Minister of Labor - Invalids and Social Affairs, former State Inspector General, former Secretary of Nghe Tinh Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Nguyen Duc Quang - Chairman of the Association, delegates of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee of the Association, and more than 500 delegates representing the district-level association in Ho Chi Minh City, veterans, businessmen, retired cadres, students, and pupils from Nghe An who are living, working, and studying in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces.
UNITY, SHARING, RESPONSIBILITY, HOMETOWARDS
Since its re-establishment and launch in September 2022, the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City has demonstrated its role in connecting the Nghe An community living far away from home in Ho Chi Minh City and neighboring provinces in the spirit of solidarity, sharing, responsibility, and looking towards the homeland. The Association has been gradually improving its organization to suit the actual situation.

In addition to the provincial-level fellow countrymen's councils, up to now, 15 districts have established fellow countrymen's councils at the district level in Ho Chi Minh City, including: Nam Dan, Dien Chau, Hung Nguyen, Anh Son, Do Luong, Tan Ky, Quynh Luu - Hoang Mai, Quy Chau, Thanh Chuong, Nghi Loc, Cua Lo, Yen Thanh, Quy Hop, Que Phong; and 6 localities that have not yet been established are Vinh City, Ky Son, Con Cuong, Tuong Duong, Nghia Dan and Thai Hoa town.
Currently, the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City is continuing to consolidate and form a 3-level association: Provincial - District - Commune. The organization of district-level associations contributes to creating connections and close coordination with the Provincial Association to carry out many exchange activities, help, and share among members, and effectively organize activities towards the homeland.

In addition, the District Associations have had many meaningful activities, focusing on the homeland with a total budget of tens of billions of VND to support overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, building houses for the poor, and supporting difficult circumstances in Nghe An...
Since its establishment, the Association has had many meaningful activities towards the homeland such as: Sponsoring the construction of a Primary School in Bac Ly commune (Ky Son) worth 2.5 billion VND, the project started construction on February 6, 2023.
Responding to the call of the Provincial Party Committee and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province, the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City has registered to sponsor 100 charity houses for disadvantaged families, with a total value of 5 billion VND, to be implemented in 3 years (2023-2025).

Through the provincial and district level Associations, many individuals have made practical contributions to their homeland, such as: Dr. Ngo Huu Hai - General Director of Bien Dong Oil and Gas Operating Company sponsored the construction of a communal cultural house worth 1.2 billion VND; Ms. Tam Thanh (District 1 Red Cross Association) supported the construction of 3 houses in Quy Hop district and 2 houses in Que Phong district.

RESPECT THE FEELINGS, CARE AND SHARING OF THE ASSOCIATION FOR THE PROVINCE
Speaking at the conference, on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province acknowledged and highly appreciated the activities of the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City.

Although it was only established in a short time, the Association has clearly demonstrated its role, especially the role of connecting Nghe An people in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces in the spirit of "solidarity, sharing, responsibility and looking towards the homeland".
The Association's activities have created emotional bonds and solidarity among Nghe An people living far from home, caring for and supporting each other; especially as a bridge to return to their homeland, supporting social security activities of the province...

On behalf of the provincial leaders, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung congratulated the results achieved by the Nghe An Association in Ho Chi Minh City in recent times; at the same time, he sincerely thanked the Association for its heart towards the province and people in difficult circumstances in the province.
The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province also informed about some outstanding socio-economic situations of the province in the past time, major orientations for development in the coming time; at the same time, he emphasized: For Nghe An to develop, in addition to the efforts of the Party Committee, government, people and businesses in the province, it is necessary to have the consensus, joint efforts, support and assistance of Nghe An people from all over the country; including Nghe An people living and working in Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces.

At the program, in response to the launch of the program to support the charity fund and build Bac Ly 2 Primary School in Bac Ly commune, Ky Son district, businessmen, philanthropists, enterprises and district-level fellow countrymen associations donated more than 3 billion VND. The fellow countrymen association of Nghe An province also donated 200 million VND to support scholarships for disadvantaged students in Nghe An province.
