Nghe An Association in Hai Phong gives gifts to students in difficult circumstances
(Baonghean.vn) - On August 19, the Nghe An Association in Hai Phong coordinated with the Red Cross Society, local authorities and authorities of Nam Dan and Thanh Chuong districts to organize a charity program with the theme "Journey with children to school".

In Hung Tien commune (Nam Dan) and Thanh Huong commune (Thanh Chuong), the Liaison Committee of Nghe An Association in Hai Phong presented 11 bicycles and 27 gifts (each worth from 1 million to 1.5 million VND) to disadvantaged students in the area. The total value of the program was nearly 50 million VND.
These are gifts from the hearts and feelings towards the homeland of the children of Nghe An who are living, studying and working in Hai Phong city and the benefactors who join hands to share, support and help students with especially difficult circumstances have more material and spiritual conditions to enter the new school year.

Ms. Phan Lien - Vice President of the association said: Currently, the Nghe An Association in Hai Phong has more than 1,000 members who are children of Nghe An and Ha Tinh provinces. In recent years, the association has actively organized many meaningful charity programs towards the homeland through activities such as donating, supporting, sharing with people affected by natural disasters, storms and floods, "Nghe An away from home - Sharing a warm Tet", "Journey with children to school", building charity houses; activities to encourage learning, help and support students in difficult circumstances... with the enthusiastic participation of many members.
Through this program, the Association Liaison Committee hopes to create motivation and confidence for students to continue to make more efforts in studying and training; at the same time, contribute to spreading the tradition of mutual love and support "The whole leaf covers the torn leaf - love others as you love yourself" of the Vietnamese people in general and the people of Nghe An in particular.
