Hanoi Women's Union organizes the program 'Accompanying women in border areas' in Ky Son district
On the occasion of the traditional New Year of the nation - Spring At Ty 2025, on January 8 and 9, the delegation of the Hanoi Women's Union deployed a number of activities under the program "Accompanying women in the border areas" in Ky Son district (Nghe An province).
The delegation was led by Comrade Le Kim Anh - Member of the Executive Committee of the Hanoi City Party Committee, President of the Hanoi City Women's Union. Joining the delegation from Nghe An province were Comrade Hoang Thi Thu Hien - Permanent Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union and leaders of Ky Son district.

The program "Accompanying women in border areas" in Nghe An province has been implemented by the Hanoi Women's Union for many years with many practical activities to share, accompany and support cadres, members and women in border localities.
Within the framework of the program in 2 communes of Na Loi and Nam Can (Ky Son district), on January 8 and 9, the working delegation of the Women's Union of Hanoi city and Nghe An province met, visited, encouraged and provided support for building houses, livelihood models, and gifts to many families of members and ethnic minority women in especially difficult circumstances.

In Na Loi commune, the delegation of the Hanoi Women's Union presented 50 gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances. The delegation also provided financial support of 50 million VND to build a "Shelter of Love" for poor women with housing difficulties; visited, encouraged and presented gifts to the families of women who were supported by the Hanoi Women's Union with the livelihood model of "breeding cows" in 2024; presented gifts to the Party Committee, authorities and the Women's Union of Na Loi commune.

In Nam Can commune, the delegation of the Hanoi Women's Union presented financial support of 100 million VND to support the construction of a "Shelter of Love" for a poor member family with difficult housing circumstances and supported 5 livelihood models of "breeding cows" for poor women members; presented 50 gifts to women members and children with difficult circumstances; presented support of 300 million VND to build a semi-boarding kitchen and teaching equipment for Nam Can 2 Primary School.


The delegation of the Hanoi Women's Union also presented gifts to the Party Committee, government, Women's Union of the commune and Nam Can Border Guard Station (Ky Son district).
In addition to the gifts from the Hanoi Women's Union, in the two communes of Na Loi and Nam Can, the Nghe An Provincial Women's Union also presented 40 gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances; presented gifts to the Party Committee, authorities, Women's Union of Na Loi commune, Nam Can commune and Na Loi and Nam Can Border Guard Station.

Through activities to support housing construction, livelihood models and giving Tet gifts to women and children in difficult circumstances in the two communes of Na Loi and Nam Can (Ky Son district), on behalf of the working delegation, the Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union shared the difficulties in terrain and socio-economic development conditions in the border communes of Ky Son district.
At the same time, encourage Party committees, authorities and political systems together with people, cadres and women's union members in localities to continue to strive to rise up, promote the spirit of self-reliance and self-improvement, with the support of all levels and sectors to build an increasingly better life.

The program "Accompanying women in the border areas" was initiated and launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union and the Border Guard Command.
The program aims to raise awareness, qualifications and support, reduce difficulties, and arouse the will to rise up of cadres, members, and women in border communes to develop the economy, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and improve their lives; create opportunities and conditions for many female members to promote and affirm their position and role in the family and community; at the same time, raise awareness among members and women about their responsibility in participating in protecting the national border.
