Scientific conference to celebrate the 110th anniversary of the birth of revolutionary To Hieu
In December 1939, comrade To Hieu was arrested by the French colonialists for the second time, imprisoned in Hai Phong Prison, Hoa Lo Prison, then sentenced to 5 years in prison, exiled to Son La Prison and died at the age of 32.
To celebrate the 110th anniversary of Comrade To Hieu's birth (1912 - 2022), this morning (March 6), Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics coordinated with the Central Propaganda Department and Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee to organize a scientific seminar: "Comrade To Hieu with the Vietnamese revolution and his homeland Hung Yen" online at the Hanoi and Hung Yen provinces.

(Baonghean.vn) - Comrade To Hieu joined the revolution when he was still a high school student. To Hieu officially became a member of the Indochinese Communist Party at the age of 20.
Comrade To HieuHe was born into a Confucian family with a rich tradition of patriotism and revolution in Xuan Cau village, Nghia Tru commune, Van Giang district, Hung Yen province. From a very early age, he showed his patriotism, revolutionary aspirations, steadfastness, and willingness to commit and contribute. In 1930, he was arrested by the French colonialists in Saigon, sentenced to 4 years of hard labor, and exiled to Con Dao. Here, he joined the Party at the age of 20, marking a decisive turning point in his revolutionary career.
In 1934, after being released from prison, he was placed under house arrest in his hometown. After that, he found a way to go to Hanoi to contact the organization, participate in re-establishing the Party organization system and restoring the revolutionary movement in Bac Ky.
In May 1937, the Provisional Northern Regional Party Committee was established, and Comrade To Hieu was appointed to the Standing Committee of the Regional Party Committee. In November 1937, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Northern - North Central Regional Party Committee. In early 1939, he was assigned to be in charge of Zone B (later Inter-Provincial B), directly in charge of the Hai Phong City Party Committee. He actively directed and consolidated the Party organization system in many key areas in Zone B, strongly developing the revolutionary movement in the Northern coastal region, causing a stir with many strikes by workers and laborers, especially strongly promoting the revolutionary movement among workers in Hai Phong.
