The first question-and-answer session of the 14th National Assembly will begin on November 15 and last for 2.5 working days. Four ministers: Home Affairs, Industry and Trade, Natural Resources and Environment, and Education and Training will take the floor. The Prime Minister and other members of the Government will also directly answer and explain further the contents raised by National Assembly deputies in the parliament.

Solution for loss-making and inefficient factories

According to the plan, National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan will chair the question-and-answer session with the Minister of Industry and Trade on: Overall assessment and solutions for handling loss-making and ineffective projects and factories, projects that have been approved for investment but not implemented, left fallow and wasteful; responsibilities of relevant organizations and individuals; Solutions to strengthen the retail system of goods to adapt to international integration; control multi-level marketing; market management, prevention and combat of smuggling, counterfeit goods, poor quality goods, goods of unknown origin; Breakthrough policies for developing the automobile industry according to the State's investment orientation and international integration commitments. Plans for organizing inspections, quality assessments, planning of hydroelectric and irrigation works and ensuring flood discharge safety in the coming time.

Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh will be the first to answer questions before the National Assembly.

The person answering the questions is Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh. Other ministers and heads of sectors participating in the questioning include the Ministers of Planning and Investment, Finance, Science and Technology, Agriculture and Rural Development, Public Security, and National Defense. At the same time, other ministers and heads of sectors and Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung answered questions about related contents under their responsibilities (if any).

In the afternoon, the Minister of Industry and Trade and related Ministers and Heads of sectors continued to answer questions about the content of the morning session.

Industrial waste treatment; climate change response

From 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. (break from 3:30 p.m. to 3:50 p.m.), the National Assembly Chairman presided over the questioning of the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment on the following contents: Implementation of policies and laws on waste treatment of industrial and service establishments, craft villages, and residential areas; Handling of responsibilities for agencies, organizations, and individuals violating the law in projects that cause environmental incidents; Solutions to adapt to climate change; Management and exploitation of natural resources and minerals.

The person answering the questions is Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha. The ministers and heads of sectors also participating in answering the questions are: Agriculture and Rural Development, Public Security, Construction, Culture, Sports and Tourism. Other ministers, heads of sectors and Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung answered the related contents under their responsibilities (if any).
