More than 1,000 people attended the Nghe An Medical Science Conference

On December 28, Nghe An Department of Health organized the 2019 Health Science Conference. The conference attracted more than 1,000 delegates from local medical facilities, scientists, and experts in the health sector.

The 2019 Nghe An Medical Science Conference has the main objective of sharing information on new achievements in medical science in the province, updating new knowledge and orientation for technical expertise development in the coming time and focusing on groups of issues in all specialties, from treatment, preventive medicine, diagnostic imaging and other related fields.

On this occasion, the Department of Health received more than 400 registrations from groups, individuals, scientists nationwide, and medical units in the province. On that basis, the Organizing Committee selected 93 typical articles to be reported at the conference, the remaining articles were requested to be completed by units and individuals to soon apply to professional practice at the unit and report at the next conference.

According to Associate Professor - Dr. Duong Dinh Chinh - Director of the Department of Health, the province's health network is quite evenly developed at all levels. The organizational model is diverse. The system of medical examination and treatment facilities is strongly developed, with 53 general and specialized hospitals (including: 14 provincial hospitals; 19 district hospitals; 15 non-public hospitals, 5 ministerial hospitals located in the area)...

The head of Nghe An Health Department said that in recent times, the development of expertise and high technology in the health sector of the province has made great strides. Many high-tech, specialized and new techniques have been and are being performed at hospitals such as: open heart surgery, cardiovascular intervention, organ transplantation, assisted reproduction, radiotherapy, stem cell transplantation, cosmetic plastic surgery, microsurgery...

In 2019, with the goal of achieving a fair, quality and effective healthcare system, the entire sector has focused on investing and developing primary healthcare. The inspection, urging; listening and promptly resolving difficulties and problems have helped primary healthcare to continuously develop in all aspects, thereby improving expertise, developing techniques and equipment; creating a strong change in discipline, action, improving the quality of primary healthcare at the primary healthcare level as well as disease prevention and control activities, and community healthcare management.

At the conference, doctors and staff in the industry were updated with new and advanced knowledge by experts and scientists; shared information on new achievements in medical science in the province, updated with new knowledge and orientation for technical expertise development in the coming time.

The papers focus on groups of issues from treatment, preventive medicine, diagnostic imaging and other related fields such as: Update, diagnosis and treatment of acute myocardial infarction with ST elevation; update, diagnosis and treatment of migraine headache; dizziness - treatment challenges in clinical practice; multifactorial approach in preventing cardiovascular risks in patients with dyslipidemia; update guidelines for diagnosis and emergency treatment of anaphylaxis; update guidelines for treatment of acute ischemic stroke... Thereby, helping the team of doctors and staff in the industry to improve their qualifications and skills, better serve their professional work and meet the increasing needs of medical examination and treatment of the people.
