Over 1.5 billion VND to install lighting and signs at Bai Lu intersection
(Baonghean.vn) - Bai Lu Intersection (Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District) on National Highway 1A is being equipped with lighting systems, signs and repainted road surfaces to minimize traffic accidents.
Bai Lu Intersection is another name for the intersection between the old National Highway 1A and the new National Highway 1A passing through Nghi Yen Commune, Nghi Loc District. Since the new National Highway 1A was opened, this intersection has become a hot spot for traffic safety violations.
On April 6, 2018, Nghe An Newspaper published an article: "Danger lurks at Bai Lu Intersection" to warn of traffic safety issues here.
The project "Handling potential traffic accident points on section Km441+900 - Km442+100 of National Highway 1, Nghe An province (Bai Lu Intersection)" has been approved by the General Department of Roads.

The project items include: Arranging 15 lighting poles in the area, including 1 pole with dual lights. Installing yellow solar warning lights with attention signs on National Highway 1 at both ends of the intersection. Adding speed bumps and repainting road markings on the route.
In addition, 7 traffic signs were added to ensure the safety of vehicles passing through the intersection and the positions of some inappropriate signs on the route were adjusted. 10m of the median strip was removed to ensure safety for vehicles when turning around and changing direction.
The total investment of the project is more than 1.5 billion VND. Up to now, the project has completed the items and turned on the lighting.
