Recently, a series of poisoning cases after smoking electronic cigarettes in all ages has sounded the alarm about a new type of cigarette that is even more harmful to users' health than traditional cigarettes. Meanwhile, the Law on Tobacco Prevention in Vietnam has no provisions regulating this new type of cigarette.

The Health Department warns: The common point of new-generation drug poisoning cases (found in e-cigarettes) is a very serious condition with symptoms of convulsions, stimulation, struggle, hallucinations, uncontrolled behavior, damage to the brain and many other organs. Notably, previous drug testing samples in e-cigarettes often only detected one substance, not a mixture of three to four substances as recently.
