More than 10,000 British police officers will be deployed to provide security during US President Donald Trump's official visit to the kingdom from June 3 to June 5. British police expect to spend £25 million (more than $31 million) on security costs related to Trump's visit.

Increased security by London police will include snipers, sniffer dogs and helicopters monitoring large-scale protests. British media say more than 250,000 protesters are expected to march during Trump's visit.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has given the go-ahead for protesters to release a giant orange balloon shaped like a baby in the shape of the US President into the sky during Trump's three-day visit. London protesters also released the balloon when the US President first visited Britain last year.

Trump said he used to love London but on his first visit he felt unwelcome because of the protests.

During his second visit to the UK, the US President will meet Queen Elizabeth, hold talks with Prime Minister Theresa May and attend a ceremony to mark the anniversary of the75 years of the Normandy landings (the decisive victory of the allies in World War II)in Portsmouth city.
