British police are responsible for security when the US President visits the kingdom as thousands of people are expected to protest.

More than 10,000 British police officers will be deployed to provide security during US President Donald Trump's official visit to the kingdom from June 3 to June 5. British police expect to spend 25 million pounds (more than $31 million) on security costs related to Trump's visit.

Increased security by London police will include snipers, sniffer dogs and helicopters monitoring large-scale protests. British media say more than 250,000 protesters will march in protest during Trump's visit.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan has approved protesters releasing a giant orange balloon shaped like a baby in the US president's likeness over the capital during Trump's three-day visit. London protesters also released the balloon when the US president first visited Britain last year.

Trump said he loved London but on his first visit he felt unwelcome because of the protests.

During his second visit to the UK, the US President will meet Queen Elizabeth, hold talks with Prime Minister Theresa May and attend celebrations.75th anniversary of the Normandy landings (the decisive victory of the Allies in World War II)in Portsmouth city.
