More than 100 doctors and nurses in Nghe An have mastered safe blood transfusion techniques.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of April 21, Nghe An General Hospital had a working session with the leaders of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion on the issue of technology transfer and blood transfusion safety training.

At the meeting, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion handed over staff to take turns supporting technology transfer under Project 1816 and organized training for more than 100 doctors and nurses of Nghe An General Hospital on blood transfusion safety.

Leaders of the Central Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion awarded Blood Transfusion Safety Training Certificates to trainees attending the Training course.

The training session provided trainees with updated knowledge on Circular 26/2016/TT-BYT guiding blood transfusion activities; blood transfusion reactions and clinical management. From there, the hospital's medical staff had a new perspective on ordering and using hematological tests, and how to handle them correctly and accurately according to the new blood transfusion and hematological testing regulations.
