More than 130 thousand people participated in the online contest to learn about traffic safety laws.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of December 21, at Vinh University, the Provincial People's Committee held a closing ceremony and awarded prizes for the online contest "Learning about Traffic Safety Law" on the Nghe An Provincial Electronic Information Portal in 2016.

Attending the ceremony were leaders of the Provincial Police, Department of Justice, Department of Information and Communications and award-winning groups and individuals.

The contest will last for 4 weeks, from October 5, 2016 to November 2, 2016, with results announced once a week. There will be 16 prizes each week, including: 1 First Prize, 1 Second Prize, 3 Third Prizes, and 10 Consolation Prizes.

The contest took place enthusiastically, attracting a large number of officials, civil servants, students and pupils to participate. The number of contestants participating in the contest increased continuously over the weeks. At the end of the 4 contest weeks, there were a total of 134,471 contestants, of which 28,092 contestants achieved the maximum score. 74.28% of the units participating in the contest out of a total of 208 units monitored by the Organizing Committee.

Students of Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Vinh City) participated in the contest.

At the peak, there were 286 contestants participating in the contest; on October 21, 2016 alone, a record was set with 10,637 entries; the 4th week of the contest had the highest number of entries with 44,991 entries.

Awarding prizes to individuals who won first prize in the competition.

At the end of the competition, 43 contestants won individual prizes with a total of 64 prizes; 1 group won 4 "weekly prizes"; 5 groups won group prizes for the units with the most participants over 4 weeks of competition.

The unit with the largest number of candidates after 4 weeks of examination is Nguyen Canh Chan High School (Thanh Chuong district) with a total of 11,755 candidates.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Ba Hao - Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications highly appreciated the significance of the contest as well as the enthusiastic participation of agencies, organizations and individuals inside and outside the province. Through the contest, it has contributed to raising people's awareness of traffic safety laws, traffic participation awareness, especially in the current situation of traffic safety law violations and traffic accidents on the rise.
