Over 150 billion VND to upgrade Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology

(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 6, Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College Upgrade Project.

Attending the event were representatives of Koica in Vietnam; leaders of the General Department of Vocational Training - Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs. On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee: Le Minh Thong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee; representatives of a number of relevant departments, branches and sectors.

Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College was established on December 4, 1998. Over the past 18 years, the school has received 7.3 million USD from the Korean government, divided into two phases, contributing to the stability of its facilities and becoming a prestigious training address with thousands of students graduating and finding jobs.

Based on the achieved results, the project of upgrading the school in phase III continues to be implemented, including 3 components: building a school development strategy, training managers and teachers, building integrated classrooms, and investing in training equipment.

The total value of the project is nearly 150 billion, of which nearly 130 billion (6 million USD) is sponsored by the Korean Government and 31 billion is counterpart capital from the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Minh Thong thanked the Korean government for its attention and support to Nghe An province, and affirmed that this is a project of great significance to the province's education and vocational training.

Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College is invested in spacious and modern facilities.

The successful project will help the Korean Industrial Technical Vocational College soon become a high-quality vocational training school in the country; create better opportunities for vocational students, improve the quality of technical labor force in enterprises and create conditions to attract investment for Nghe An province. On the side of the Provincial People's Committee, we will actively cooperate with the Koica Organization, creating conditions for the project to be completed with quality and on schedule.
