More than 30 lawyers participate in providing free consultation to people about Election Law

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of May 7, in Vinh Tan ward (Vinh city), Nghe An Bar Association organized a propaganda campaign to disseminate the law and provide free legal aid to people.

Attending the event were lawyer Truong Hoa Binh - Standing Member of Vietnam Bar Federation, Chairman of Nghe An Bar Association, representatives of Vinh Tan ward Party Committee, authorities, hamlet blocks and many local people.

More than 30 lawyers attended to introduce and disseminate to the people about new points in the Law on Election of National Assembly, People's Council, Rights and obligations of citizens when voting, Law on civil status, household registration, Law on local government 2015, and answer people's questions about related issues.

People asked lawyers directly about related issues right in the hall.

In addition to consulting at the conference hall, the bar association also organizes direct consulting tables to advise people in need. The consulting content mainly revolves around issues of land disputes, policies, procedures for making birth certificates when there is no permanent residence, inheritance rights, marriage and family.

It is known that this is a regular activity of the Nghe An Bar Association. Since the beginning of 2016, the association has organized 4 free legal aid sessions at Vinh Tan, Hung Hoa, Nghi Phu (Vinh City) and Dien Thap (Dien Chau) to help the government and people find effective legal solutions, contributing to creating consensus and promoting socio-economic development in the area.
