After Ho Chi Minh City and the southern provinces relaxed social distancing since October 1, many people decided to return to their hometowns despite local authorities' calls to stay. Because public passenger transport by road, rail, and air is still suspended, they mainly have to use motorbikes as a means of transportation. To date, among the workers returning home from the South, 11 people have been infected with Covid-19, all of whom were recorded in the quarantine area in Cua Lo town.
Regarding quarantine after workers return home, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee stipulates as follows:
For people who have received 2 doses of COVID-19 vaccine (with a certificate of full vaccination) or have recovered from COVID-19 (with a certificate of recovery from COVID-19 or a hospital discharge certificate no more than 6 months from the time of arrival/return to the locality):Organize RT-PCR testing (pooled samples of 10) at the centralized quarantine area. In case of negative results, transfer to medical quarantine at home or place of residence until at least 14 days from the date of return to the province; collect RT-PCR pooled samples or single rapid antigen tests on the 7th and 14th days. Continue to self-monitor health for 14 days after completing quarantine.
