Window switch failure is the reason Honda Vietnam had to recall Accord and Odyssey. |
Describing the error in a report sent to the Vietnam Register, the Japanese automobile joint venture stated that due to improper treatment of the contact surface in the rearview mirror control switch on the vehicle, if used for a long time, it may be oxidized, causing the rearview mirror on the car door to automatically fold in when the vehicle is running, parked, or not working when the switch is turned on.
In case of the above phenomenon, it may affect the user's visibility, in the worst case it may cause unsafety for the user due to not being able to observe behind because the mirror is folded, or cause discomfort for the user.
Honda Vietnam will have to inspect and replace faulty parts for recalled vehicles from December 25. The estimated repair time is about 12 minutes per vehicle.
