Instructions for paying traffic fines online in 2025.
Citizens can look up penalty decisions without logging in, but they are required to log in to their account on the National Public Service Portal (DVCQG) to pay fines. Here are the steps:
Step 1:Look up penalty decisions
Access the National Public Service Portal, select [Online Payment] → [Traffic Violation Lookup/Payment]. Enter the information from the penalty notice such as the notice number, full name, issuing unit, date of violation, security code, and then click [Search]. The search result will have three possible outcomes.
Step 2:Online payment
Customers need to log in to their account to make payments.
Method 1:Payment and receipt of results at the enforcement agency:
- Select [Pay and receive results at the enforcement agency], enter the payer's information, then click [Pay].
- The system switches to the National Public Service Portal's payment platform, where citizens select a bank or payment intermediary (VNPTPay, Vietcombank, VietinBank, etc.). They enter their bank card information, confirm, and complete the payment.
- After successful payment, citizens can download the receipt to present when retrieving their temporarily confiscated documents.
Method 2:Pay online and receive results at home.
- Select [Pay and receive results at home], log in to your National Public Service Portal account. The system will check your account information and the violator's details. If the information matches, the system will allow payment.
- Users should select [Receive results at home via VNPost], check and adjust the delivery address if necessary.
- Continue payment via the National Public Service Portal platform, select your bank or payment intermediary, enter your card information, and confirm the transaction.
- After completion, citizens can check their transaction history in the section [Personal Information] → [Utilities] → [Traffic Fine Payments].
This process saves time, minimizes direct contact, and ensures transparency in handling traffic violations.
