Citizens can look up the penalty decision without logging in, but are required to log in to their account on the National Public Service Portal (NPSP) to pay the fine. Here are the steps:
Step 1:Look up penalty decisions
Access the National Public Service Portal, select [Online payment] → [Search/pay for traffic violations]. Enter information on the penalty notice such as notice number, full name, record-making unit, date of violation, security code, then click [Search]. The search result will have three cases.
Step 2:Online payment
People need to log in to their account to pay.
Method 1:Payment and receipt of results at the sanctioning agency:
- Select [Pay and receive results at the sanctioning agency], enter the payer's information, then click [Pay].
- The system switches to the National Public Service Portal Payment Platform, where people choose a bank or payment intermediary (VNPTPay, Vietcombank, VietinBank...). Enter bank card information, confirm and complete payment.
- After successful payment, people can download the receipt to present when receiving back the temporarily held documents.
Method 2:Pay online and receive results at home.
- Select [Pay and receive results at home], log in to the National Public Service Portal account. The system checks the account information and the violator. If the information matches, the system allows payment.
