(Baonghean) - Established on December 4, 1998 under the name of Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical College, and in 2007 upgraded to a vocational college (Vietnam - Korea Industrial Technical Vocational College). Initially, the school has affirmed its position in the system of vocational training schools, creating trust among the people, being a reliable address for businesses and vocational students...

With the mission of training technical workers at college, intermediate and primary vocational levels, retraining, advanced training, consulting and introducing jobs after training, in recent years, the Vietnam - Korea Technical and Technology Vocational College has continuously grown and developed and is a symbol of friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Korea. The Vietnam - Korea Technical and Technology Vocational College was invested in by the Korean Government in two phases, with a total of more than 7 million USD and counterpart capital from Nghe An province. Currently, the Korean Government continues to fund phase 3 with a total of 6 million USD for the school to continue upgrading, expanding and improving training quality.

Activities at the Science and Technology Innovation Contest of Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology.

The school currently has 6 departments, 9 faculties, 2 centers, training 10 occupations, of which 7 occupations are piloted for international key training: welding, electrical installation and control engineering in industry, refrigeration and air conditioning engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial electricity and industrial electronics. The school is planned quite completely with a system of offices, lecture halls, practice workshops, sports and recreation areas, physical education, green areas, ensuring the training and education of students. Due to receiving funding from the Korean Government, the school has a complete system of teaching equipment, the machines provided by Korea are of good quality and modern technology.

Determining the quality of training as a vital task, training must be associated with job creation, so the school considers training, fostering and improving the qualifications and capacity of the teaching staff to be a top priority. The school currently has over 130 teachers teaching in 7 specialized departments, of which 98% have university degrees, 80% have master's degrees, 2% have doctoral degrees, 30% have studied in Korea, Japan, Australia, Malaysia, England, 98% meet standards in vocational pedagogy...

Over the past 18 years, the school has trained over 12,000 long-term vocational students (intermediate and college level), 2,500 short-term vocational students, nearly 10,000 workers learning Korean and providing orientation education for over 5,000 export workers. In the 2015-2016 school year, the rate of students who qualified and were recognized as graduates reached over 98%, of which 16-19% were recognized as excellent. Notably, 5 students won prizes in the national vocational skills competition and 1 student was selected to participate in the 2016 ASEAN regional vocational skills competition. The school also won high prizes at the Youth Science and Technology Innovation Competition, the DIY Vocational Equipment Competition, etc.

Along with improving the quality of training, the issue of job placement after training is extremely important in the school's activities. Three months before graduation, students are given survey forms about job needs, work locations, and proposed salaries, from which the school collects and sends them to companies in need of recruitment. When there are recruitment orders, the school sends staff to verify, make contracts, and guide students to participate in the recruitment... In recent years, the school has provided Korean enterprises in Vietnam with a large number of technical workers with college and intermediate vocational degrees. The students have quickly approached the actual production at the enterprise, have knowledge, skills, industrial style, and health, so the enterprises have recognized and highly appreciated the training quality of the school. The school's graduates have been accepted to work for many companies such as: Samsung Bac Ninh, Posco Vung Tau, Huyndai Quy Nhon, Canon Thang Long, Hong Hai Bac Ninh; Korean enterprises in Nghe An such as Haivina Kim Lien, Prex Vinh, Emtech Vinh, BSE Nam Cam... Every year, over 85% of students after graduating from the school have jobs and stable income. Currently, the school has over 2,500 students working in Korea, 300 students working in Japan, 250 students working in Taiwan...

Teacher Nguyen Duy Nam - Principal of Vietnam - Korea Vocational College of Technology said: The school strives to become a high-quality vocational school according to Decision 761/QD-TTg on approving the "Project for developing high-quality vocational schools by 2020". The implementation of this goal will help the school become one of the leading vocational training schools in the North Central region and the whole country, integrating into the region and the world, contributing to training high-quality human resources to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country and being competitive with workers in ASEAN countries by the end of 2015.
