Successfully detonated 3 bombs left over from the war in Tan Ky district
(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of March 21, the Nghia Hop Commune Military Command coordinated with the Engineering Department, the Provincial Military Command and the Tan Ky District Military Command to successfully detonate 3 bombs left over from the war.
Previously, at around 11:00 a.m. on March 18, Mr. Vo Duy Lieu in Nghia Son hamlet, Nghia Hop commune, while digging up soil to level and renovate the garden for Mr. Vo Duy Ba's family in Nghia Son hamlet, discovered 3bomb. Of these, 2 have surfaced, 1 has only the tail visible, is round, painted green, suspected to be a bomb.

Immediately after discovering the suspected bomb, Mr. Vo Duy Lieu reported the incident to the local Party Committee and authorities. Upon receiving the news, the Military Command of Nghia Hop commune quickly sent forces to the scene, blocked off the area suspected of containing the bomb, posted signs in the dangerous area, organized 24/7 vigilance, did not let people and livestock come near, and reported to the District People's Committee and the Military Command of Tan Ky district for guidance.
After receiving the report, the Tan Ky District Military Command organized forces to go to the scene to verify the information and determined that the objects were 3 bombs left over from the war, located about 50m from the house. Each bomb was 25cm in diameter, 120cm long and weighed about 120kg, was a demolition bomb painted green, and still had the detonator intact.

After studying and surveying the specific situation, using professional techniques, the Engineering Department of the Provincial Military Command neutralized the detonator, coordinated with the Tan Ky District Military Command and the Nghia Hop Commune Militia to transport the bomb to the Bui Seo stream area in Nghia Son hamlet, Nghia Hop commune, and successfully destroyed 3 bombs, ensuring absolute safety for people and property./.
