Speaking at a press conference in the capital Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasemi said: "It is too early to make a judgment about what will happen."
According to Mr. Qasemi, Iran believes that reason still has a place in American society to prevent potential risks that could endanger American and international interests.
However, he also affirmed that Iran will prepare contingency plans for any possible scenario.
The statement by Iran's Foreign Ministry comes amid growing concerns about the future of the landmark nuclear deal.
During his election campaign, President-elect Trump mentioned renegotiating the historic nuclear deal between Iran and the P5+1 Group./.
