IS suicide bombing in Yemen, at least 45 people killed

(Baonghean.vn) - A suicide bomber drove a car packed with explosives straight into a local militia area in the southern Yemeni port city of Aden on August 29. According to Doctors Without Borders (MSF), at least 45 people were killed in the attack.

In addition, local officials also said that about 60 other people had to be treated at a nearby hospital in the Mansoura Aden district.

On the Islamic State's Amaq news site, the terrorist group claimed responsibility for the bombing and also gave the actual death toll as 60 people.

The explosion shook the area and created chaos as all the residents there fled, a witness said.

IS has exploited the 18-month civil war between the Houthis and supporters of former President Hadi to carry out a series of attacks targeting senior officials, religious figures, security forces and agencies of the Arab coalition supporting Hadi.
