An IS media group in the northern Iraqi province of Nineveh has posted a nearly eight-minute video online showing five masked men executing five victims dressed in orange. In the video, the five executioners, all speaking Arabic, announce that they are executing the five victims for “spies.”
Notably, among the five killers, a French-speaking man wearing tan camouflage with a yellow bandana warned that they would do something to make people forget the events of “9/11 and the attacks in Paris.” The attacks, which IS claimed responsibility for, killed 130 people in the French capital last November.
Not only do they threaten France, they also threaten Spain and Portugal, and ensure that IS will find a way to return to Ai-Andalus - the territory of the Iberian Peninsula that was under Muslim rule from the 8th to the 15th century. In particular, they emphasize retaking the cities of Toledo and Cordoba.
After making the threats, the five butchers shot and executed the five victims. And similar to previous execution videos, the location of this execution is still unknown.
