The intruder in the bedroom was caught red-handed by the homeowner and his wife.

A 20-year-old male driver with four prison sentences drives a truck "patrol" around the roads, breaking into any careless family's house.

On November 14, Cam Xuyen District Police (Ha Tinh) announced that they had just arrested Nguyen Van Dung (20 years old, residing in Ky Anh town) to investigate the crime of property theft.

Before that, at around 1pm on November 13, Dung drove a truck "on patrol" in the Cam Xuyen town area. When he passed Ms. Thuong's house in residential group 6, he saw the gate open and sneaked in.

Dung went into the bedroom to take the phone and computer but was discovered by the homeowner and his wife and arrested at the scene.

Dung said he was short of money so he went to steal. The truck was driven by Dung.

According to authorities, three days ago, using similar methods, Dung successfully carried out a theft in Thach Ha district.

The 20-year-old suspect has four previous convictions for theft.
